The Audi Q3 has long been the entry level for the Audi crossover lineup, and with the release of the Q8 earlier this year, there was quite a wide valley between the sleek, modern Q8 design and the previous era Q3 design. But with the release of the redesigned 2019 Audi Q3, Audi has flipped everything around and turned the Q3 and Q8 into two dynamic looking siblings.

Starting from the exterior, the qualities shared with the Q8 stand out, such as the enlarged, Singleframe grille with octagon design that turns the Q3 into a much more aggressive vehicle than it’s badging would insinuate. To match the more performance based grille, the Q3 has received sharper styling throughout the body and a more robust stance that is accentuated by the two-tone wheel arch trim. Due to the new stance, the rear of the vehicle also looks more aggressive, with a less rounded and more pointed rear with sharper looking tail lights.

But the best part of the bolder styling has to be that the Q3 has actually increased in size, with 77mm increased length to the wheelbase. Although (for obvious reasons) that seems like it’s not much, it not only improves the looks of the vehicle, but creates a ton more room within the cabin. Even better, with rear folding seats that can not only be adjusted, but also laid flat fully flush, room for storage increases (with seats folded) goes from 530 liters to 1525 liters.

Even better inside though, the interior has been brought into the modern age, taking heavy influence from the Q8. These adjustments include smaller, sleeker climate controls, a standard 10.25 inch MMI touchscreen, and fully digital everything! This digital everything extends even to the instrument cluster, that can be altered for whatever your needs, including navigation, radio, the actual gauges themselves, and more, all from integrated steering wheel controls. Finally, there’s also LTE connectivity and WiFi hotspot that’s compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

From a performance/driving standpoint, the redesigned Q3 features the same turbocharged four cylinder as the previous model, but with an increase of 30 horsepower from 200 to 230. Meanwhile, adaptive cruise control has been added to keep drivers safe, as well as emergency braking, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert. 360 degree view cameras also help drivers park in tight spaces, instead of just rear and front view cameras.
