Running of the Rings 2024 was an event for the books! Held on Sunday, June 23rd, Audi employees, along with volunteers from across the campus, came together to put on an incredible event that truly showcased the Audi spirit and community.

Guests began arriving shortly before noon, eager to participate in the day's festivities. Upon check-in, each guest received a bag of goodies and an official 2024 Running of the Rings T-shirt to commemorate the day. Snacks were served in the service bay, and guests enjoyed mingling and exploring the impressive lineup of entered vehicles outside.

At 12:45 PM, all drivers gathered in the service garage for a mandatory driver meeting. Here, the event rules were discussed, and the agenda for the day was outlined. Anticipation built as drivers prepared to hit the road, knowing they would be returning to Audi Wichita for a grand finale filled with food and fun.

Shortly after 1 PM, the drivers embarked on their journey, beginning with a drive down K96 towards the infamous Thunder Road. This was the first stop where drivers collected their initial card. From Thunder Road, they made their way to the B-29 Doc Hangar, an aviation museum located at the Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, Kansas. With a sense of urgency and excitement, drivers continued through the course, collecting cards at each location.

The scenic drive around Lake Afton in Goddard provided a beautiful waterfront view, adding to the enjoyment of the journey. The next stop was the Wichita Wind Surge Stadium, followed by a visit to the Kansas Humane Society, where drivers had the chance to spend some time with furry friends. The final leg of the journey brought everyone back to Audi Wichita.

Upon returning, participants turned in their collected playing cards and enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by B&C BBQ. The evening was further enhanced with face painting, snow cones from The North Shore, and the camaraderie of like-minded Audi enthusiasts.

Once all cards had been collected, the top three hands were awarded prizes. The first-place prize, a Celebrity Cruise for two, went to some amazing guests from the Oklahoma Audi Club. Our second-place winner received a fantastic gift package from Tanganyika Wildlife Park, including a Penguin experience. Lastly, our friends from The North Shore Snow Cone truck took home two impressive Audi Lego sets and an automotive care kit.

Running of the Rings 2024 was our biggest year yet, with over 65 Audis registered and more than 250 people in attendance. We were thrilled to welcome many guests from out of town, with participants coming from all over the Midwest. The success and growth of this event have us looking forward to even more exciting years ahead at Audi Wichita.

On the last warm weekend of the season, October 21st, Wichita experienced a magical day at Audi Wichita, bustling with joy. Children, dressed as their favorite characters, filled the campus with laughter and excitement.

The enchantment continued as we partnered with esteemed community members for a Trunk or Treat event, creating captivating displays. Exploration Place, WPD, Kansas Food Bank, Kansas Humane Society, Prairie View, Beauties and Beasts, Inc., Bobbie Lane Keller Williams Signature Partners, BW & Associates LLC with KW Signature Partners LLC, and Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas joined us for this spooktacular venture.

The displayed creativity was extraordinary, making it challenging to select top prize winners. The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas secured the $1000 first prize for their wild display. BMW/MINI of Wichita's E.T.-inspired trunk won the $500 second prize, donated to the Kansas Humane Society. The Andover Wolfpack Baseball Team's spine-tingling doll display earned the $250 third prize.

However, the spotlight was on the hundreds of children exploring the campus, gathering candy, and joining in the Halloween-themed festivities. With over 15,000 pieces of candy distributed, the day exuded laughter, creativity, and community spirit. Walser Auto Campus is proud to host this fantastic Halloween event and eagerly anticipates more spooktacular moments ahead. Autumn & Art 2023 proved to be a masterpiece despite a bit of fall rain during the patron party on Friday night. However, the weather couldn't dampen the spirits as the weekend unfolded into two glorious days of art and sunshine at Bradley Fair. Audi Wichita had the honor of being a sponsor at this extraordinary event.

The festival buzzed with creativity and community spirit, as artists showcased their talent and patrons immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere. From stunning paintings to intricate sculptures, the artwork captivated visitors and sparked meaningful conversations.

Attendees reveled in the beauty of artistic expression, enjoying the diverse range of pieces on display. Despite the challenges, Autumn & Art 2023 remained a memorable celebration of art and community, thanks to the support and enthusiasm of everyone involved.
